local weather

Come and stay with us here at Hall Farm.

We have a beautifully situated 400 acre working stock farm with extensive views over Ryedale.

Completely away from all the traffic, we are 1/2 mile away from the road. As you drive up to the farm you may see cows with their calves and in spring and early summer ewes with lambs.

We offer you a friendly family welcome with homemade scones on arrival. A ground floor double en-suite room with a view to the east which is really worth the drive.

The hospitality tray in the room includes home made biscuits. There is a sitting room for your use, with TV and an open fire on chilly evenings. The dining room opens onto a new conservatory, where breakfast may be served on the warmest mornings. You will be the only guests, so the breakfast time is up to you. Full English breakfast includes home made bread and preserves with our own free range eggs.

There are lots of excellent places to eat in the evenings within a 10 minute drive, in the charming market town of Helmsley or Ampleforth, with its renowned Benedictine Abbey and boarding school, or in the nearby villages of Oswaldkirk and Gilling.

York is half an hour's drive away and so are Castle Howard and the North York Moors, but there are numerous other things to make your holiday or break in Ryedale memorable.
