Bed and Breakfast

We offer you a friendly family welcome with homemade scones on arrival. A ground floor double en-suite room with a view to the east which is really worth the drive.

Completely away from all the traffic, we are 1/2 mile away from the road. As you drive up to the farm you may see cows with their calves and in spring and early summer ewes with lambs.

The hospitality tray in the room includes home made biscuits. There is a sitting room for your use, with TV and an open fire on chilly evenings. The dining room opens into a conservatory, where breakfast is usually served. You will be the only guests, so the breakfast time is up to you. Choose either a Full English breakfast or continental, both including home made bread, fresh grapefruit and a selection of yogurts. 

There are lots of excellent places to eat in the evenings within a 10 minute drive, in the charming market town of Helmsley or Ampleforth, with its renowned Benedictine Abbey and boarding school, or in the nearby villages of Oswaldkirk and Gilling.

York is half an hour's drive away and so are Castle Howard and the North York Moors, but there are numerous other things to make your holiday or break in Ryedale memorable. Please follow the 'places to visit' link for some local attractions.
